BIOGRAPHY:

Jennie Boden is the CEO at Quantum Governance, L3C, a Callahan Company — bringing to the organization nearly three decades of experience in governance, strategy, management, leadership and communications expertise in the credit union and nonprofit sectors. Jennie has led transformational governance and strategy work with notable credit unions and nonprofits across the country including Hudson Valley Credit Union, Northwest Federal Credit Union, Redwood Credit Union, the Gerontological Society of America, Friends of the National Arboretum, Sports Car Club of America and many others.

Early in the firm’s development, Jennie was instrumental in the establishment of a strategic partnership with CUES® and the firm’s governance and strategic planning products and services including groundbreaking innovations in assessing Director Skills and identifying the ideal profile of the Board member of the future. Jennie leads a team of consultants including both full-time and adjunct consultants, topical specialists and other experts to meet the governance and strategic needs of clients all over the world.

Previously, Jennie served as Executive Director of the Severna Park Community Center, a community-based nonprofit dedicated to enhancing family life and individual development.  During her tenure, the organization grew its revenues from just under $1.1 million to more than $1.6 million in little more than 16 months. Prior, she served as Executive Director of the Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault, managing the organization through a period of transition and developing the organization’s first strategic plan.

Jennie also served as the Vice President and Managing Director of First Candle’s National Campaign for Cribs funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Vice President of the organization’s Development Division — responsible for generating more than $23 million in revenue during her tenure. Jennie was the Senior Director of External Relations for the National Mental Health Association overseeing $3.5 million annually in corporate relationships – primarily in the pharmaceutical industry. She also served under Quantum Governance’s Co-Founder Michael Daigneault as the Corporate Secretary & Director of External Relations for the Ethics Resource Center, where she worked with leading Fortune 500 companies including Lockheed Martin and institutions including the World Bank Group.

Jennie has authored countless articles for CU Management and co-authored The State of Credit Union Governance reports. She has also served as a regular contributor to CUES’ Advancing Women. Jennie co-authored the Baltimore City Sexual Assault Response Team Annual Report (2011) and the ERC’s Insights 2000. She has served as members of the governor’s grant review team for the Maryland Board of Victim Services and the Office on Crime Control & Prevention; as well as a chair for committees at the Congregational Church of Henniker and on the Boards of ASPIRE and the Patrick Allison House and the Advisory Board of the Indiana SIDS Alliance. Jennie has been a guest on Woman Talk Live Radio, as well as a presenter at the annual meeting of JPMA and the Indiana Perinatal Network State Conference, among others.

Jennie received a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and lives in New Hampshire with her family.
