Job Description:

Branch Manager needed to direct the operations of one or more branch and satellite location(s), ensuring that the branch(es) and satellite location(s) meet operational, financial, service, and growth plans. To make certain that established policies and procedures are followed. To assign operational tasks to branch staff. To assist members with their consumer and real estate lending needs. To be available to make business calls and represent the credit union at civic and
community functions.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensures appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • While meeting the service standards for the credit union, direct, develop, motivate and coach branch staff. Conduct performance reviews and monitor the work of branch personnel. Provide support to staff serving members and resolve problems as necessary.
  • Responsible for business development and to represent the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organization(s), civic and similar groups. Contacts and develops business from existing and potential channels through promotions, employee meetings and programs.
  • Identifies and acts on product and sales opportunities consistent with established sales goals. Directs Sales and Service activities through personal example and the  coaching/development of staff to ensure annual goals are met and that relationships with current and potential members are maximized.
  • Monitors all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established credit union policies, procedures and regulatory compliance. Stays abreast of credit union lending/saving rates and promotional campaigns. Maintains communications with main office; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience:  Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
  • Education:  A high school education or GED.
  • Interpersonal Skills:  The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
  • Other Skills Able to operate a ten key calculator, typewriter and PC skills. Possess good cash handling and strong supervisory skills.
