YP Leads – Ignite Your Future at MAXX

Eager to fuel the Credit Union Movement? Want to expand your credit union network? Interested in becoming an inspiration to your peers?

18 YP Leads will receive complimentary registration to MAXX. Travel and lodging costs will be the responsibility of the YP Leads’ credit unions.

YP Leads is more than an opportunity; it’s a transformative learning experience for selected young professionals. Elevate your skills, connect with industry leaders, and shape your future by applying for this career-changing experience!

In addition to attending MAXX, YP Leads will benefit from a year-long mentorship with a YP Lead Mentor. Through a process that is collaboratively designed by the mentor and mentee during MAXX, a plan and goals for the year will be developed to help the YP Lead in their role in advancing the Movement.

 

What’s the commitment?

  • Attend a pre-MAXX meeting and a post-MAXX debrief session
  • Actively participate during the 3-day MAXX Experience
  • Attend monthly or quarterly virtual check-ins with your mentor
  • Contribute to at least one GoWest advocacy initiative throughout the year
  • Bring back what you’ve learned to your credit union and local community

Pay It Forward: Become a YP Leads Mentor or Judge

Behind every YP Lead is a mentor who helps bring the experience to life.

YP Leads Mentors play a key role in guiding and supporting participants throughout their journey — from their time at MAXX to the months that follow. Mentors are often past YP Leads or credit union professionals who have grown into leadership roles and are passionate about giving back to the Movement.

As a mentor, you’ll:

  • Be paired with a small group of YP Leads
  • Provide guidance, encouragement, and real-world perspective
  • Support their growth and leadership development
  • Serve as a trusted connection throughout the MAXX experience and beyond

This is a meaningful opportunity to invest in the next generation, build connections across the region, and stay engaged in the Credit Union Movement.

Mentor applications are open through June 19, and we anticipate selecting one mentor per state.
