Job Description:

Sky Federal Credit Union (Sky FCU), with approximately $200 million in assets, has launched a search for a Chief Executive Officer to replace the current CEO who is soon retiring. Sky FCU is an outstanding organization with headquarters in Livingston and six branches located in Montana. The credit union’s field of membership consists of 28 counties within Montana, northern Wyoming, and southern Idaho. Sky FCU has a strong focus on growth and has been very successful by both caring for its members’ consumer lending and depository needs and focusing on a commercial lending portfolio. This position requires conducting business development activities and participating in community and business events to promote the credit union’s visibility and continued growth. A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required. The new CEO must be able to work collaboratively with the board of directors to define the strategic direction of the credit union and must be an experienced executive who can provide outstanding leadership and direction while overseeing the safety and soundness of the credit union’s financial structure.

They are looking for an individual with a proven track record of excellence who has a high degree of integrity and excellent communications skills as well as knowledge and experience in commercial lending. A minimum of either three years of experience in senior management or five years of responsible experience in a financial institution of equal or greater size is desired. Strong, equivalent experience in commercial lending may be considered.
