BIOGRAPHY:
Pamela Leavitt (Pam) is Sr. Vice President of Regional Grassroots and Political Programs/Legislative Affairs for Oregon for GoWest Credit Union Association. She has represented credit unions in the Oregon State Capitol for more than 30 years. She also works closely with credit union advocates in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming to implement and develop grassroots and engagement programs.
From 1994-2011, Pam was the Senior Vice President of Governmental Affairs/Public Relations for the Credit Union Association of Oregon (CUAO) and a member of the management team. With 17 years of trade association experience, she has great expertise working with a statewide membership and bringing people together to work on common legislative issues. Before joining CUAO, Pam spent six years in the U.S. Senate as a Legislative Assistant. On Capitol Hill, she focused on a variety of state and federal issues. In February 2011, she opened the Northwest Advocacy Group, LLC. Through the Northwest Advocacy Group, she continues to represent the Northwest Credit Union Association and other clients. She returned to GoWest Credit Union Association in August 2023.
Pam is a registered lobbyist with much of her time at the State Capitol during the legislative session working with Oregon legislators. She is responsible for guiding the legislation agenda through the process and stopping legislation with a negative impact on her clients.
Pam has a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Oregon and has a great commitment to her community, having served on the board of many local organizations.
