BIOGRAPHY:

Katie March, joined the GoWest Credit Union Association in 2023 as the VP, Legislative Affairs for Colorado. In her role at the Association, she has the honor to advocate for not-for-profit, member-owned credit unions and their 2.8 million members in the state of Colorado. Born in Fort Collins as a 5th-generation Coloradan, she graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and earned a master’s degree from Colorado State University. Throughout her career, she has worked for Speakers of the House Crisanta Duran, KC Becker, and Alec Garnett and on campaigns for Jared Polis and many other statewide and local elected officials. Katie was instrumental in passing bills centered around gun-violence prevention, business relief and guaranteeing protection for workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, firefighter pensions, and much more.
