Layna Officer
Director, Credit Union Leadership & Talent Development

Layna Officer is the GoWest Credit Union Association’s Director of Credit Union Leadership and Talent Development. In this role, she oversees strategizing, leading, and executing leadership programming and content for the GoWest Association’s professional development offerings to member credit union staff.

Officer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a Forensic Science concentration from the University of Wyoming as well as a Master of Science in Forensic Science from Southern Utah University. She comes to the Association with over ten years of financial service industry knowledge and experience in numerous credit union roles; some to note include Member Experience voice of the member analytics and certifications in sales and service training programs.

In 2020, Officer received the Executive Leadership Program scholarship for her to continue in her own leadership and development journey. She believes in the importance of continuous improvement of oneself, which is an essential part of building future leaders of the CU Movement.
