Job Description:

Come join our seasoned mortgage sales team located in the Yakima area. We are hiring a top sales performer who has extensive mortgage knowledge and exceptional communication standards. Creating an extraordinary member experience will be your key to success!

Your day may include:

  • Originating first mortgage loans
  • Pricing and disclosing rates and fees via required disclosures in compliance with Federal Regulations
  • Providing accurate and timely communications with borrowers and other interested parties to the mortgage loan process
  • Reviewing borrower needs and supplies solutions with Credit Union product offerings
  • Ensuring the highest standard of quality service by meeting members’ expectations in regards to responsiveness, dependability and individual attention to mortgage needs
  • Engaging in day-to-day activities of the Mortgage Origination Team
  • Developing and executing Individual Marketing Plans to ensure sales goals are met
  • Maintaining knowledge of mortgage loan competition and industry best practices

What you bring to the team:

  • Three years of recent demonstrated success in a mortgage loan sales role, including familiarity with FHA/VA requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent, or greater
  • Microsoft Office expertise
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to provide clear explanations of complicated mortgage information
  • Ability to calculate ratios, interest rates, loan payments and percentages
  • High level of initiative, self-motivation, excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to work individually and as a team member

Bonus Points if you have:

  • College degree in Business, Finance, Psychology or Marketing
  • Familiarity with processing, underwriting and closing of mortgage loans
  • NMLS Mortgage Registration
  • Experience in condos, jumbos, mobile homes and construction loans

Competitive pay: Base, plus commission

Where we’re located:  Position covers WSECU Branches in the Yakima area, and lends to all members in WA, OR, and ID

Where you’d work:  Monday-Friday, (Saturdays as needed) with scheduling flexibility required to meet business needs for this non-exempt position
