Valley Credit Union
Consumer Loan officer (Full or Part Time)
Key Responsibilities:
- Embrace the mission statement and core values of Valley Credit Union
 - Provide financial counseling to members in the wise use of credit
 - Perform underwriting and disburse funds for all varieties of consumer and business loans including: vehicle loans, home equity lines of credit, and unsecured loans
 - Interview, process, approve and deny loan requests
 - Be the advocate for the member to help them achieve their financial goals
 - Cross sell addition products and services that would benefit the member
 - Open membership and originate savings and checking accounts for new members
 - Review loan applications for accuracy, compliance and completeness
 - Assist lending team in continuous improvement of procedures and policy
 - Perform other job-related duties as assigned
 
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Enthusiastic “can do” attitude
 - Minimum of two years’ experience in a financial institution
 - Experience with consumer, business and home equity loan underwriting preferred
 - Must have the confidence to resolve challenges, make decisions, and manage multiple loans
 - Minimum of two years customer service experience
 - Ability to read and analyze credit reports and income documentation
 - Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
 - Detail oriented, good organizational skills, and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
 - Ability to present positive and professional image to all employees and members
