We are currently looking for full-time (exempt) Personal Lines Sales Manager to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for driving continuous profitable revenue growth within the Personal Lines and other assigned revenue verticals; leading a team of Sales professionals to achieve company sales goals and other KPI(s); and overseeing and providing leadership to the department to ensure effective and efficient operation and adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations.
This position will work onsite at the Gateway Branch in Springfield, Oregon. The successful candidate will need to be available to work Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:30pm.
COMPENSATION
Base Salary: The full salary range for the Personal Lines Sales Manager position is $6,178 to $8,876 per month, with new hires generally starting between $6,622 to $8,430 per month, based on relevant knowledge, skills, education, and experience. This range will be converted to semi-monthly ranges for full-time employees.
Annual Incentive: In addition, all SELCO Insurance Service team members are eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on the completion of 3-5 team and individual goals, set by your supervisor at the beginning of each year. The total incentive received is calculated based on the percentage of the goals you complete. Incentive amounts can range from 0%-12% of the prior year eligible earnings (with the average payout for the last 3 years being 12%).

POSITION DETAILS
Essential Functions include (please see the position description for a comprehensive list):
- Oversee and ensure effective department management, including the following:
- Provide team member oversight, conduct regular reviews of individual performance, provide appropriate performance feedback and coaching, and initiate employment actions when necessary.
- Ensure adequate training to accomplish organizational objectives and provide high-quality service to internal and external members.
- Identify staffing needs and recommend staff allocation.
- Requisition open positions and follow through with hiring in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate and assist others in providing effective leadership, including:
- Maintain Mission Statement, Corporate Values, Service Promises and Exceptional Customer Service Standards.
- Ensure adequate, effective, and professional communication.
- Foster a professional, safe, and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement department strategies and objectives. Identify opportunities while managing risk. Advise Senior Management on trends and make recommendations for change as needed.
- Develop and implement process and procedure improvements to enhance the department’s capabilities and operational efficiencies.

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; and
- Prior sales/production management and marketing/underwriting experience with an insurance agency, brokerage firm or carrier; and
- At least three (3) years of insurance industry experience, such as insurance sales, underwriting or marketing in the property/casualty areas preferred; and
- At least two (2) years of leadership experience; and
- Possess a valid property & casualty and life & health licenses from the State of Oregon (may be waived for six (6) months); and
- Must be bondable.
