Summary
The purpose of this position is to support the Member Solutions Manager/Department in all aspects of the collection activity.
Job Responsibilities
- Contacts members with delinquent accounts by telephone and mail to encourage prompt repayment of delinquent loans and/or negative shares.
- Uses the telephone as the primary means of contact, using letters, e-mail, and other collection methods as a secondary method.
- Consults with Senior Member Solutions Agent, Lead and Member Solutions Manager on loans that need to be charged off; assigned to attorney and/or collection agency; or repossessed.
- Works with Senior Member Solutions Agent, Lead and Member Solutions Manager on bankruptcy accounts. This includes working with Senior, Lead or manager and the attorney and or trustee regarding the member’s intent to repay or reaffirm, preparing reaffirmation agreements, processing proof of claims, updating information in collection comments. Sends all paperwork and correspondence to the bankruptcy courts and attorney after being reviewed by Senior, Lead or Member Solutions Manager.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- One-year collections experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
- Manage daily work and meet deadlines.
- Typical work hours: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.
