Job Description:
Are you a detail-driven financial analyst eager to make an impact? Salal Credit Union is looking for a Financial Analyst I to support key functions within our Accounting and Finance departments, working alongside our Financial Analyst Supervisor to drive financial reporting, profitability analysis, asset/liability management, investments, and budgeting.
Beyond financial analysis, this role will also involve accounting support, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial documentation-ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our operations. WHAT WE OFFER
- Base salary range of $36.19 – $50.67 per hour with most offers typically falling within the target range of $41.26 – $44.88 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FINANCIAL ANALYST I
- Financial & Regulatory Reporting- Assist in preparing reports for compliance, audits, and internal financial analysis.
- Profitability Analysis – Evaluate financial performance and trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Asset/Liability Management – Help assess risks and optimize the Credit Union’s financial position.
- Investment Tracking & Analysis – Monitor investment portfolios and provide data-driven insights.
- Budgeting Support – Contribute to the budgeting process, ensuring accuracy and forecasting efficiency.
- Accounting Duties – Perform reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and maintain financial documentation
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FINANCIAL ANALYST I
- 3 years of recent and relevant accounting, finance, and general ledger experience
- Experience in accounting or financial analysis for a financial institution is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- Strong skills in communication with various departments and levels of leadership, highly organized and detail oriented
