Seth Schaefer has worked at Rivermark Community Credit Union for 17 years acting as a strategic thought leader on member experience with a focus on insight-driven service and technology integration. Prior to the President and CEO role, Schaefer held various positions in the credit union, including operations, lending, marketing, and technology.
With a degree from Willamette University in international relations, Schaefer has been continually engaged in helping underserved communities. He spent time in Senegal, West Africa, as a volunteer in health care, which shaped his desire to find a career where people could help people. As chance would have it, credit unions have that in their DNA!
An avid traveler, he enjoys destinations off the beaten path, including an extended visit to Antarctica.
