Jordan Beyer
AVP, Grassroots Engagement, GoWest Credit Union Association

Jordan plays a key role in working with lobbyists in engaging credit union advocates for Credit Union Days at the Capitol, the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference, and Hike the Hills.  He is skilled in creating effective programs to support advocacy efforts and help tell the credit union’s story to elected officials.

Before his association role, Jordan worked for BECU as a member consultant, in branch leadership, in back office support roles and in learning and development.  He is a skilled facilitator who is passionate about continuing education and the role it plays in professional development.  He earned his bachelor’s degree from Life Pacific University and his master’s degree from the University of Edinburgh.

 

Chris Kemm
VP, Political Affairs, GoWest Credit Union Association

Chris is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in political affairs and public policy.

As AVP of Political Affairs, he collaborates closely with credit union members, professionals, volunteer board members, and community organizations to foster credit union legislative and political advocacy.

Chris’s expertise lies in the development, organization, and implementation of comprehensive strategies, including the utilization of social media, to achieve political, legislative, and regulatory objectives.

With a background as a Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) and over 25 years of involvement in public policy, political mobilization, and grassroots education, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his role.

Previously, he served as the national legislative and political representative for a 13-state region with the American Federation of Government Employees, AFL-CIO. He’s also been part of various initiatives, including the National Conference for Political Professionals, the Mapleton Education Foundation, the Labor’s Community Agency, and the St. Joseph’s Home for Veterans Accessibility Project. Chris served in the United States Navy from 1992-1998 and in the active-duty reserves from 1998-2001.

He is an active contributor to his community. He coaches a high school basketball and a track team in Thornton and holds directorship positions at organizations that include a coaches association and a veterans commission.
